What does it mean if you prick your finger to do do a diabetic test and your blood squirts out like a fountain?
Every time I prick mty pinky to do a blood sugar test my blood squirts out like a fountain and goes everywhere. What does this mean and should I be concerned and let my doctor know?

1st of all i really want to say sorry for this thread, it does seem that i suffer from health anxiety and worry alot about Diabetes HIVI am very concerned atm as i have been using my mums test pen over the last week to see if my levels are ok which they are Was very happy with that and that was the end.Then i found out that my sister has used the same pen about a year ago and i freaked out as i thought it was just my mum that has used it. My sister isnt the safest person and i am sooo worried i have caught something from this penSo do these pens count as " Sharing a needle" ?

So I got a physical a while ago and I am looking at my paper work everything seem good except when I strolled down to diabetic tests and it says fair. What does that mean ? it also shows my blood glucose is 60 is that a good or bad thing?

I need alot of test strips each month cause I just wanna make sure my levels are ok. I get the prestige brand at americandiabeteswholesale.com for about $16 per box of 50. It's the best deal I have found anywhere, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any better prices? If not, hopefully this info will help you. Test strip prices suck

So... I am a little concerned. My mother has Hep C and her best friend is Diabetic. They are sorta slow when it comes to thinking... Not really but I can't even put a kinder word to it. She likes to test my mothers blood sugar when she does. My mom also likes to see the result due to being close to diabetic herself. Said friend tested my mother then herself but forgot to change the needle. I am very very concerned about the chances of her contracting my mothers virus. Does anyone know how likely she would become affected?She is taking so long to take the test that is if she ever does.
