What is normal range of for a diabetic meters?
My husband checked his sugars the other day and they were 392. His mother is insulin dependent and his brother has diet controlled diabetes with pills. I feel he should get a fasting sugar as soon as possible
When you test your blood sugar on a diabetic meter and the meter says "hi" what does it mean?
i am a diabetic and i have been trying to test my blood sugar for this whole day and every time i test it it says " hi." i have tested my blood sugar on 3 different meter and i have no idea what it means.

Do you think that the big companies that make money on invasive blood sugar devices and needles are delaying making the non invasive blood sugar devices and the insulin that can be sprayed into the mouth or nose or given in a pill.? Is there any way to use glucose test strips without a diabetic meter?
I found a science fair project online that's testing the glucose levels in fruits. It told me that I needed glucose test strips, and glucose tablets, fruit, and that's all. I bought the strips, and when I tried them, nothing happened. There was also nothing in the directions about a color code system or anything on how to get results, just how to put it into a meter and stuff. I bought Walgreens Brand Blood Glucose Test Trips Truetrack. I have no experience with diabetes. The test strips were expensive enough, and I'd REALLY like to not have to buy a meter. If the test strips absolutely REQUIRE a meter, do you have any ideas whatsoever to what I should do from here? How old do i need to be to buy a diabetic meter?
im 13 and think i might have type 1 diabeties and dont want to tell my mom or a doctor so i was just gonna walk down to the drug store and buy one...i have the money but i need to know if im the right age..will they need a licence or a parent or doctors note..or can i just go in and buy one? btw i live in oklahomaim not close with my momor dad but almost everyone in my family have a bg problem and im in my room most of the day..and im always loseing weight..im 2 shy with my parents to talk ot them about anything or even be around them

what would make a meter read 320 and another test read hi but on the other hand a few mins later it reads 140? big difference?when i mean the other hand i literally mean the other hand

How do you use an Accu-check diabetic meter?
I'm having trouble using it... . It's actually my grandpa's but I need it for my science fair checking glucose level in fruit . He's not here at the moment. My dad and I are having trouble even starting the thing up we did look in the manual but we didn't get it LOL So... how do we start it up, insert in the key code yes... we couldn't even figure that one out LOL and test the glucose level, etc. Thank you sooo much. Is it normal to test 160 after eating a meal on your diabetic meter. I just tested for the 1st time.?
Both my parents are tpye 2 disbetic. Last fall I tested 128. And today, after eating a greatfruit, i tested 163 and am worried that I'm diabetic, because 80 120 is normal. I'll test again tonight, just before supper and see what the reading is. Scared & in panic mode.
Are different diabetic meters supposed to have different readings?
I've been using my Accu Chek meter for 5 years but now have to switch over. Right now I'm using that one , Free style, Prodigy, and One Touch. All four of them have different readings that are waaaaay off from each other.On top of that when taking my blood sugar on the same meter twice within seconds it also has a different reading.Is it supposed to be like this?

my dad has sugar and has to check it all the time , but he hates prickin his finger, is there a meter he can get that he wont have to prick his fingers anymore, maybe he can prick is arm,is there a meter out there that will do that
