What is acceptable for diabetic glucose monitoring in hospital?
If a diabetic is in hospital and being treated with an infection which is affecting his blood sugar levels would you accept blood sugar testing twice a day is adequate?
Where can I dispose of diabetic glucose monitors?
Someone in my family is diabetic, and over time we have accumulated a LOT of these little electronic glucose monitors. I know you're not supposed to throw electronics in the trash especially here in CA , but where am I supposed to dispose of these properly? I'm just not sure since these are used for medical purposes and they're not just gadgets. I've tried finding an answer google but I haven't found anything helpful. Thanks in advance

I have type 2 diabetes, and did my normal glucose testing, well my little finger was cold and when i did the test,and then it swelling up after. I have never had this happen before, should I get it checked or is it a common thing with testing blood sugars, sometimes?

Non-diabetic, glucose levels rising...?
My doctor gave me a blood glucose meter because I have been suffering symptoms of low blood sugar and he wanted me to mark down my readings for a week and show him.My fasting level that is when I woke up this morning was 5.0 which is normal. Since then I had a plum at 9am and then a large McDonald's fries at 12pm. I took a reading at 2pm and it was 8.1 and I took another just then 3pm and it was 8.2. I think this is still in the normal range but is it right for it to still be so high three hours after eating?
Should a non diabetic (glucose 104, insulin 11) take metformin er 500mg?
