Question about diabetic cooking and baking?
Hi first off thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully reply to my question. My husband is a diabetic he is on insulin My dad is not a diabetic but has higher than normal sugar levels on the brink of diabeties My mom and I are fine but want to eat healthier. My question is how can I make things diabetic friendly I know I can use whole wheat or whole grain breads and pasta and use splenda sugar or brown sugar or natural honey or I could use unsweetned applesauce instead of butter in reciepes and I could use low sodium stuff. What else can I do and does anyone have any good diabetic friendly recipes any kind salads suppers, desserts anything.
